Nothstine, Thomas and Lauralee
Biography
Tom and Lauralee Nothstine are global missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene in Madagascar.
The Nothstines graduated from Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana. Tom received the B.A. degree in Biblical literature. Lauralee received the B.S. degree in elementary education. Tom also earned his M.Div. and M.A. in missiology degrees from Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. He received ordination in 1972.
In 1975 Tom and Lauralee were appointed as missionaries to Swaziland. Tom served as academic dean and teacher at the Nazarene Bible College in Siteki, Swaziland and as Mission Director for the Church Growth Council. Lauralee assisted in the library and taught part-time at the Bible College. She trained local and district treasurers and served as council treasurer.
The Nothstines accepted a new assignment to Madagascar in 1994. They have helped to develop a theological education program and the NCMI Street Kids Center. Tom is the Theological Education Director and mission coordinator. He was recently appointed as assistant to the Field Director for the Indian Ocean Islands. Lauralee is an English teacher and field treasurer.
The Nothstines have three children; Tom, Todd, and Tricia and four grand daughters.
